About
Mission Statement
The mission of Holliday Montessori School is to prepare all learners for life in an educational and social environment. We are committed to guiding each child to become a self-motivated learner by developing the qualities of self-worth, order, concentration, coordination and independence.
Harold L. Holliday, Sr. Montessori (HHMS) is one of two public signature Montessori schools in Kansas City. Holliday Montessori is an Association of Montessori International/USA School. HHMS earned its status as an AMI Member School in the Winter of 2019.
At Holliday, we adhere to the standards and principles outlined by Dr. Maria Montessori. We pride ourselves for being a public urban Montessori school that brings rich experiences to a diverse group of children. Our educators are highly qualified Montessorians. In addition to obtaining Missouri teaching credentials, lead guides have their Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) Diploma, American Montessori Society (AMS), or they are enrolled in AMI Teacher Training. Assistants have completed AMI Assistants Courses, or are currently enrolled.
